As Keith Oram stepped down as President we marked his extraordinary term in office with a life honorary membership and then welcomed our new President, Steve Evans.

Steve’s professional experience is as impressively extensive as is his art work much of which is influenced by his work as a Chartered Structural Engineer.

His work is informed by his interest in architecture and structural stability resulting from form and shape. In their precision and repetition of line His drawn work incorporates the techniques and formal qualities of technical drawing before the advent of Computer Aided Draughting and indeed, we are indeed all familiar with the mind-altering qualities of those precisely articulation structural forms which feature regularly in our exhibitions.

Steve was elected an RBSA Associate in 2014 and became a Member in 2016. And in recent years he held the post of President. So it is no surprise that on the recommendation and request of the committee, we were very pleased and honoured for Steve to become President of the Wolverhampton Society of Artists.
