Cath Oldfield
Born and raised in a small mining community in Cumbria, fells, mountains and rugged landscapes shaped my love for nature and colour.
A self-taught artist, I gained inspiration and knowledge from workshops with Charles Reid, Hazel Sloan, Jean Haines and others.
Percy Kelly, John Blockley, Van Gough and Glasgow Boys are amongst artists I admire who all used strong images and colour.
I believe being artistic and creative is one of life’s greatest blessings.
