Roya Rostami
My name is Roya Rostami. I was born in Iran in the year 1964. I’ve enjoyed painting and drawing since a very young age and started my journey in art before starting school.
Through my school years I worked extensively with pencil and charcoal, mainly focusing on portraits. After finishing school at the age of 18 I went to work with an art tutor named Mansour Bakhtiar, one of the most renowned and successful artists in Netherlands. When I finished my course I drew the portrait “Waves” at the age of 19. This is also when I started to delve into watercolour, however I am self-taught in watercolour technique.
I became a member of WSA in 2008 and I hope to continue painting and drawing all of my life.
